Neuroscientist (PhD in Neuroscience from Georg-August University and Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, Goettingen, Germany. Postdoctorate specialization at Ludwig-Maximilian University, Munich, Germany) turned bioengineer (Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Columbia University, USA, Lab for Stem Cells and Tissue Engineering. In BioSense, she is focused on cellular agriculture (application of tissue engineering for food production), bioengineering in alternative protein field, biosensors and microfluidic platforms. Ivana is the coordinator of two EU Horizon2020 projects: H2020 WIDESPREAD Twinning DRAGON GA 810775, H2020-MSCA-RISE-2019 IPANEMA No. 872662 and Project leader of the REALSENSE1 - Monitoring of cell culture parameters using sensors for biomass and nutrients/metabolites in media: Lab-on-a-Chip (LOC) approach, Good Food Institute 2018 Competitive Grant Program.
